He was the first professor in genetics in Finland. At his time he was a pioneer in his branch and highly valuated worldwide. He wqas a candidate for the Nobel price in medicine. his scientific written works were very large and upon that he made high quality oictures especially of butterflies. As a photographer he is mentioned in the history of outstanding photographers in Finland. 0n 5 Aug 1932 he trawelled with the ship Baltic from Helsinki to England. On the 11 Aug he trawelled with ship Westerland from England to New York. The price for the ticket was 209 USD. |
