| Notes for Clara Federley |
Clara was vaccinated in 1804 in Sund. Probably one of the first vaccinations in Finland? Source. Communion book in Sund/Åland. Leena Heikelä. She gave birth to 2 children in the same year 1833.Alfred was born in February 1833 and Matilda in december 1833. Clara's grave is well preserved in the Nakkila cemetary.
In Villilän kartano there is a rocking chair which Clara brought from her home in Sund Åland where she was born. This chair is still there and has served as a model for many rocking chairs all over Finland. Source www.nakkila.fi. One copy of the chair was made and given as a present to the US President John F. Kennedy. The chair was known tyo be very comfortable for people who had problems with theere back as was the cae with John F. Kennedy. |
