Viktor and Ida were third generation cousins. Their greatgrandfather was Kristoffer Federley. Viktor went with his brother Knut Alfred to the land of Amur to eastern Russia together with 26 men where they formed a cooperative. Most of them returned to Finland and became succesfull businessmen. Alfred however drowned in the Armur riwer. About this fantastic story you can read in the book “Det förlovade Amurlandet” written by Erik Appel (ISBN 951-50-0916-2). He is buried in the same grave as the sister of his wife. Frans Lindeberg also belonged to the group. Frans’ Daughter Anna Gunilla Lindeberg married Oiva Josef Koskinen who was the great grandson of Ulrika Karolina Federley. |
