Family lore says that during the hazardous fire in Turku Bina heard the Cathedral bells falling. She moved to St Petersburg in 1849. Her younger brother moved at the age of only 14 there1938. A silc scarf and a small new testament of Bina is today hold by her decendant Leena Moffet-Koskinen in USA. Bina wore this scarf at her wedding 27 May1852 and Leena at her doctoral thesis in Turku 7 Dec 1977. She moved from Turku 24 Apr 1852 to Hattula Mierola Alhainen to be a löady of waiting for Colonel Joahn von Konow’s wife and four daughters. After Maria’s husbands Anders Lukander’s death and after her daughter Aina Maria had moved to Wyborg 4.8.1891 Maria lived alone in Mierola 1892 -1896 ands worked as a director nurse in the Hattula old folks home. After that she moved to Aina Maria in Prunkkala 3 Dec 1896. |
