| Kirsti was born Kirsti Laakso. Her bilogical parents were Amanda Serafia Tervaportti and Aksel Laakso. Aksel changed his surname later to Heikinoja which was the name of his homefarm. Amanda and Kirsti took the surname Heikinoja at the same time. Kirsti was only 3 years when her father Aksel died and only 8 years when her mother Amanda died. Silviä Tervaportti became Kirsti’s foster-mother. Before Kirsti came to Siviä Tervaportti she lived in Pyhäranta as fosterchild with her fosterparents Kalle Severin Tervaportti b. 22 Oct 1879 and his wife Lempi Virtanen. Kirsti had an fostersister in this familly. |
