171. Hedvig Elisabeth Federley. Born on 24 Dec 1834 in Helsinki/Helsingfors. Hedvig Elisabeth died in Kaarina/St. Karins, on 22 Sep 1858; she was 23.

Her grave can be seen in the old Turku cemetary. The text on the stone says: Till minne öfver Hedvig Elisabet Nordenstreng född Federley död den 22 sept 1858 i sitt 24de levnadsår älskande och älskad maka, moder, dotter och syster. She was baptised Jan 31,1835

On 11 Jan 1857 when Hedvig Elisabeth was 22, she married Hjalmar Sebastian Nordenstreng, son of Anders Christopher Nordenstreng & Jakobina Elisabet Telén, in Helsinki/Helsingfors. Born on 24 Oct 1826 in Heinola. Hjalmar Sebastian died in Helsinki/Helsingfors on 28 Feb 1890; he was 63. Occupation: Kenraali Kuvernööri/General Guvernör Mikkelin Lääni/st Michels Län.

172. Helena Aurora Federley. Born on 24 Jan 1837 in Helsinki/Helsingfors. Helena Aurora died in Helsinki/Helsingfors on 13 Aug 1920; she was 83.

In the HisKi books her name is Hedvig Fredrika Aurora Federley. It is hardly the right name since it is exactly her mothers maiden name.

On 28 Aug 1860 when Helena Aurora was 23, she married Carl Gustaf Estlander, son of Jakob Jonas Estlander & Maria Elisabeth Rislachius, in Kaarina/St. Karins. Born on 31 Jan 1834 in Lappfjärd/Lappväärtti. Carl Gustaf died in Helsinki/Helsingfors on 28 Aug 1910; he was 76. Occupation: Valtioneuvos/Statsråd Professori/Professor.

In 1876 he founded the magazine “Finsk tidskrift” in which he presented his ideals and in 1885 he founded “Svenska Litteratursällskapet in Finland” which became a wealthy foundation which still today gives financial support to active and succeful people who works in favour for the Finnish Swedish culture. Because of this he achieved a status of being the leader for the Finnsih Swedish community in Finland. He acted chairman of the board for 12 years and after that as an honorable chairman until his death in 1910. Cocnerning art in all forms he was extremely active and interested and on his initiative the school of art, the Ateneum was built in a very center location in in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. To day the beautiful Atenum building act as an art museum exposing very famous artists not only from Finland but from all over the world.
In 1898 he was ennobled and in 1901 he became the first Finnish citizen to be nominated for the Nobel prize. His beuatiful grave can be seen in The Old Cemetery in Helsinki. On his tombstone raised by Littertursällskapet, is a sculptural potrait of him made by the highly appreciated sculptor Walter Runeberg. Carl Gustaf Estlander and his father-in-law, Berndt Federley, were in their time two highly respected men. C-G Estlander died on his 50th wedding day.

173. Anna Karolina Federley. Born on 15 Oct 1838 in Helsinki/Helsingfors. Anna Karolina died in Helsinki/Helsingfors on 17 Mar 1907; she was 68.

Her grave is preserved on the old cemetary of Helsinki. She was not married and had no children.
She lived with her mother Aurora Federley and sister Lovisa Etslander in the Dementjeff house on Skatuden in Helsinki. Source the book Demntkjeffin Kiwikartano Lasse raustela. Inforamtion given by Christer Gripenberg who today lives in the apartment where Aurora Fedrley lived in.

174. Sigrid Margaretha Federley. Born on 18 Dec 1841 in Helsinki/Helsingfors. Sigrid Margaretha died in Helsinki/Helsingfors on 19 Sep 1858; she was 16.

175. Carl Bernhard “Berndt” Federley. Born on 13 Feb 1844 in Helsinki/Helsingfors. Carl Bernhard “Berndt” died in Helsinki/Helsingfors on 17 Aug 1906; he was 62. Occupation: Rautatiehallitus/Järnvägsstyrelsen Toimistojohtaja/Byråsdirektör. Education: Varatuomari/Vicehäradshövding.

In the daily magazine Helsingin Sanomat 1Jul 2003 there is an article telling about Georg Strömberg going on pension the 1 Jul 1803. He was the General Manager and the pioner for the railroads in Finland. A special celebration party to thank Mr Strömberg was held in restaurant Kaivohuone in Helsinki to honour his more than 50 years work for the railroads. The speach to thank him was held by Director Carl Bernhardt Federley. The fiorst railroad in Finland was opened 1862 and it went from Helsinki to Hämeenlinna to where the distance is approx. 100Km. The article is kept in Lars Federley’s archive. A completely other type of interest Verdndt showed in his article from 1844,
Women’s rights in Finland. An article published by Pirkko K. Koskinen in Tidskrift av juridiska föreninegn i Finland, is analyzing C.B. Federley’s wiewes in a evry broad perspective. Finland being an autonom part of Russia was in the impact of both Russian law and Swedish law at that time. Sources teh said article.

On 15 Aug 1871 when Carl Bernhard “Berndt” was 27, he married Anna Maria Sirén, daughter of Adolf Fredrik Sirén & Mathilda Lovisa Nordenstolpe, in Hauho. Born on 15 Oct 1850 in Porvoo/Borgå. Anna Maria died in Helsinki/Helsingfors on 7 Mar 1915; she was 64.

176. Lovisa Rosina Federley. Born on 22 Aug 1846 in Kaarina/St Karins. Lovisa Rosina died in Messina Italy, on 30 Jan 1923; she was 76.

She had a passport issued in Turku/Åbo at 17 Sept 1889. After her husband’s death she moved to the Dementjeff house in Skatudden Helsinki where also her sister Anna and her mother Aurora Federley lived as a widow. On 28 Jun 1867 when Lovisa Rosina was 20, she married Jakob August Estlander, son of Jakob Jonas Estlander & Maria Elisabet Rislachius, in Helsinki/Helsingfors. Born on 24 Dec 1831 in Lappfjärd/Lappväärtti. Jakob August died in Messina Italy, on 4 Mar 1881; he was 49. Occupation: Kirurgian professori/Professor i kirurgi.

177. Georg Gottfrid Federley. Born on 29 Jun 1850 in Kaarina/St Karins. Georg Gottfrid died in Helsinki/Helsingfors on 1 Aug 1920; he was 70. Occupation: Pääjohatja/Disponent Suomen Sokeri/Finska Socker.

The Finnish Sugar company was founded by Feodor Kiseleff whiowas married to Siri Federley. The company was located in the present center of Helsinki, along the senate squrse, in the Kiseleff house which is one of the oldest stone buildings in Helsinki. He was one of the founders of Finska sjöförsäkringsaktiebolaget/Suomen Merivakuutusosakeyhtiö andd Högre svenska handelsläroverket and the company Börs (Pörssi/Stock Excahnge)

On 8 Jul 1876 when Georg Gottfrid was 26, he married Aline Olga Elisabeth Bandholtz, daughter of Johannes Gottfried Diedrich Bandholtz & Adelaide Sophie Auguste Rothe, in Viipuri/Wyborg Deutsche Gemeinde. Born on 8 Sep 1851 in Viipuri/Wiborg. Aline Olga Elisabeth died in Helsinki/Helsingfors on 9 May 1933; she was 81.
